According to a new survey from the Pew Internet & American Life Project, an increasing amount of Americans are getting online through wireless means which includes almost one-third (32 percent) who have used their phone to reach the internet.
“Mobile access strengthens the three pillars of online engagement: connecting with others, satisfying information queries, and sharing content with others,” said John B. Horrigan, associate director of the Pew Internet Project. “With access in their pockets, many Americans are ‘on the fly’ consumers and producers of digital information.”
So, when you’re deciding how to attack the search world, keep in mind what’s coming around the corner. As the consumer changes, so must your company!
